"Through the Eyes of a Child"
A bit ago, I was going through some old photos on my hard drive in the process of moving them to another PC. Amorella was dutifully hovering over my shoulder, assisting with categorization (saying whatever she saw was in the photo). When she saw this one, she suddenly stopped repeating "waterfall," and began exclaiming "Tinkerbell!"
I knew she must've seen a fairy or something similar, and it took me a moment, but finally I saw it, and after a bit of photomanipulation, I've presented it here for you all to see. It's amazing how we lose our sense of wonder as we grow older. The world, at some indeterminate moment, becomes mundane and monotonous. Here's to our children, for showing us the things we can no longer see, and for reminding us to slow down and enjoy life sometimes.
